Krishnamachari Srikkanth (Born 21 December 1959) 
also known as Kris Srikkant is a former captain of the Indian cricket team and former chairman of the selection committee. He represented Tamil Nadu in the Indian domestic circuit.

Srikkanth played domestic cricket, for Tamil Nadu and South Zone. He made his One Day International debut against England inAhmedabad in 1981, followed two days later by his Test debut against England at Bombayat the age of 21. He opened the innings partnering Sunil Gavaskar. Known for his aggressive batting style, he was an early role model for opening batsmen in future years to adopt a similar approach t
As he matured, he tempered his aggression somewhat and became a mainstay of theIndian cricket team. He was an integral member of the Indian squad when they won the 1983 Prudential World Cup and 1985 Benson & Hedges World Championship of Cricket. In the 1983 World Cup final against the West Indies, Srikkanth top scored for India.
He has been captained in the indian cricket 1989. It was time when Sachin Tendulkar took his first step in international cricket. He captained india in both Tests and the ODIs. In 1969, Srikkant selected to play for India under-19 against Pakistan under-19. And later in 1984,he was selected for young India on the tour to Zimbabwe where he played with Ravi Shastri, Navjot Singh Sidhu,Lalchand Rajput,Mohammed Azharuddin, Raju Kulkarni,Laxman Sivaramkrishnan, Manoj Pravhakar, and Sadanand Vishwanath.
This fact will make you suprise as due to some numerological resons he changed his name Shrikant to srikkanth. In fact when he started his own website which sold tutorials for Rs. 990 as he believed that 9 number is lucky for him. Srikkanth also chairman of selectors when India won the World Cup 2011.
